Description
The Maestro Fuzz Phazzer combines a fuzz distortion with a phaser and a wah-like filter in a single pedal. Its fuzz section uses a transistor-based circuit to produce a dense, saturated distortion that sustains notes and adds harmonic content. The phaser section sweeps a series of notch filters across the frequency spectrum, creating a swirling, jet-plane-like modulation; a rate control adjusts the speed of this sweep, while a depth control sets how pronounced the effect is. The wah section, activated by a rocker pedal, sweeps a band-pass filter to emphasize different frequency ranges, producing the classic "cry" effect. The pedal includes separate footswitches for engaging the fuzz and the modulation/wah sections, allowing independent use or combination. Input and output jacks are standard 1/4-inch mono, and the pedal requires a standard 9-volt DC power supply, though it does not include one. The enclosure is a rugged metal chassis designed for pedalboard use.
