The Ibanez Tube Screamer Classic TS10 is a compact overdrive pedal that shapes the guitar signal through a combination of drive, tone, and level controls. The Drive knob sets the amount of overdrive gain, increasing harmonic saturation and compression as it is turned up. The Tone control adjusts the high-frequency response, allowing the user to brighten or darken the overall sound. The Level knob controls the output volume, which can be used to boost the signal into an amplifier or other effects. A distinctive feature of this model is its use of a specific integrated circuit that contributes to its characteristic mid-range emphasis and smooth clipping. The pedal operates with a standard 9V battery or an optional power supply, and it features a true bypass switching system that preserves the dry signal when the effect is disengaged.
