The Ibanez OD-850 is an overdrive pedal designed for electric guitar. It provides a distortion effect that shapes the guitar signal's gain and tone. The pedal features controls for Drive, Tone, and Level. The Drive control adjusts the amount of overdrive or distortion applied to the signal, increasing the gain and saturation as it is turned up. The Tone control alters the frequency response, allowing the user to brighten or darken the overall sound by adjusting the treble content. The Level control sets the output volume of the effected signal, which can be used to match the bypassed guitar level or provide a boost. The pedal is housed in a compact, durable enclosure and typically operates with a standard 9V DC power supply.
